he Durham Ice Cream Company, L.L.C. d/b/a The Parlour (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates The Parlour mobile app (the “App”) for our ice cream shop in Durham, NC. This page explains what information the App collects and how we use it.

Account & Sign-In

You can browse flavors and our menu, and place orders, without an account. Placing an order requires your name, email, and phone number, so we can contact you about it.

Creating an account lets you view your order history and save this contact information. Signing in collects and stores your name and email address.

Your sign-in session is stored securely on your device and is not shared with anyone else who uses that device. Signing out clears it. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile tab in the App.

Payment Information

Card payments in the App are processed directly by Square, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Square handles that securely on its own systems.

Location

If you use in-person card payment features, the App may request your device’s location, which Square requires to process card-present transactions. We do not otherwise access, collect, or monitor your location.

Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we use Apple’s push notification service to let you know when a flavor you’ve favorited becomes available. You can turn these off anytime in your device Settings.

No Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics tools, tracking cookies, or advertising identifiers to monitor your behavior across other apps or websites.

Third-Party Links

Our App may contain links to our official social media profiles or our primary website. These external sites are not operated by us — please review their own privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
